Individual attention and feedback. This is a fun, energetic, awakening class and one of our favorite offerings, designed for all levels. If you are a beginner, you will enjoy exploring new topics. Clay Monotypes and Surface Decoration for all artists, even non-potters!
Join in on this new, one-day Saturday workshop. All levels of artists, beginners to advanced, welcome...even non-potters! Everyone will walk away with finished work, thought-provoking design aesthetics, and new techniques.
Topics include underglazes and underglaze application; direct printing methods on handbuilt or thrown pottery; clay monotypes and monoprints using plaster and slip casting, and more!
We will also discuss the future of clay surface decoration and how to give your work more sizzle!
Bring bisqueware of any size and any cone (low fire to cone 6 clay body preferred). If needed, bisqueware is also available for purchase. Participants have option to leave their greenware and bisqueware work to be fired. Materials and firing fees included. Deli lunch included.
